  Ver Doramas is a Dominican pastry which originates from Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. It is known by many names such as Blue Mountain Coffee, Blue Mountain Espresso and Chicco Cafe. These pastries are mainly created out of flax seeds that are ground into fine powder. They are then mixed with warm milk that has been flavored with ripe berries, vanilla or chocolate. The process is long and difficult, as it has to be done very slowly to ensure that the flavors are not lost. Unlike most coffee-based pastries which are enjoyed all over the world, the creation of Ver Doramas has become increasingly popular only in the Dominican Republic. This is due to its uniqueness as well as its delicious taste. They have also gained a lot of popularity since they were featured on several daytime talkshows and programs like "The Today Show."
